Hi. I saw that you closed the issue again. Have you been able to resolve it? If so, how?

Dear Professor Leifeld,

After reading the entire discussion, I was eventually able to solve my issue. I just tried to change my Mac's settings to allow java access and relocated the .dna file to the pictures folder in accordance with maikenmelanie's most recent advice. The second issue is that I require the admin password to open the sample file (DNA 3.0.9). But when I use DNA 2.0 beta 25, the same version I used to create the database, I can access my own database.

Thank you

Great to hear you were able to resolve it. Macs sometimes work in mysterious ways.

The sample.dna password for the different coders is sample. I think I also wrote this in the release notes.

If you would like to transfer your data from DNA 2 to version 3, you will need to create a new database in DNA 3 and then import your documents from the previous database into the new database because the different versions have incompatible database specifications. It should be easy to do using the import function in the Document menu. Good luck!

I appreciate you reaching out to me to help me with my issue. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you because of your DNA, I recently received my MPA. A further question I have is whether DNA may be used for planning or consultation.

I'm glad you could benefit from DNA!

I am not acutely aware of applications in planning and consultation, but I have recently put together a bibliography with more than 250 entries. Please feel free to browse and discover papers related to what you are interested in!
