Album artwork is not persited as file in target directory #176

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Insert Audio CD
2. Attach album artwork in XLD
3. Adjust in preferences --> metadata the options as shown in (metadata.jpg)
4. Extract audio cd
5. Check target directory

How about the reproducibility (always, sometimes, rarely, ...)?
Always

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A file named folder.jpg, or cover.jpg representing the selected album artwork

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 20130407 (143.0)

Please provide any additional information below.
I am not quiet sure if this is an issue or just not supported.
It seems the album artwork is also not included in the flac file, I checked
that with VLC --> media information

Well, the option is for *reading* cover art files named folder.jpg, cover.jpg,
etc. Not for writing.

I'm not sure which version of VLC you are using, but as far as I've tested the
latest VLC 2.0.6 shows embedded cover art in FLAC properly.

Thanks for the fast response! ;-)

Ok, it seems like VLC 2.0.6 does only fetch the cover art, while playing the
flac file or after it was played played.. I confirm the file is correctly
tagged with the album art.

I like really high res images for the album art, so it would be great to
persist it one time per album instead for every single track.
Is this by any chance planned?

Might be implemented in the future version, but you can always save the cover
art by right-clicking the image placeholder.
