Is it possible for an Alpha emulator to support "idling"? Many others do, at least if the OS is cooperative. It would be nice for AXPbox, running OpenVMS, not to suck up 100% of CPU when the guest OS is idle.

You don't need a guest system for this, SRM alone loads the processor 100% :-)
