README, Screenshots #32

First I found the homepage which made it a bit unclear about what it really is.

In the repo, a README was missing in the root directory. The only real README I found was after some searching in some subdirectory here. That one made it a bit more clear what it is (as far as I understand): a cross-platform C++ GUI framework based on OpenGL. (Is that right? Still not 100% sure.)

Also not sure about the current state. Is it ready to use? What platforms does it support? (Looks like MacOSX, Windows and Linux from some of the source files.)

Also, how does it look like? Screenshots should definitely be added.

All that should probably go into README.md in the root directory, including the screenshots.

I'd second this request. Have the very same story coming here .

Libnui is in need of some love... I haven't been able to work on it in the last 6 years or so (since I joined, and then left Apple) unfortunately. I did add support for Metal (iOS + macOS) and a number of fixes a couple of years ago but it still on my personal fork: https://github.com/meeloo/nui. The guys at https://intua.net/ are still using it to develop Beatmaker though so it's still active and viable in some way. However the windows version is broken and the Android port is not finished.

That's good to know someone uses it in production!

Maybe screenshots and some revised readme file could be made even without having Windows & Android working perfectly. If you'll find some time to do that or tell us how to proceed, we'd all appreciate it.

Thanks .
