Describe the bug No-change opening of preferences refreshes the cache.

To Reproduce

  1. Open the Update Manager.
  2. Open its Preferences.
  3. Close its Preferences.
  4. See the Update Manager 'refresh' pointlessly.

Expected behavior No 4.
