@ekes your thoughts on this please - thanks
We can have a 'Finders Events' project on d.org, and an 'LGD Events 4.x' which builds on it.
Features like https://github.com/localgovdrupal/localgov_events/pull/161 or https://github.com/localgovdrupal/localgov_finders/issues/18 would probably live in the LGD code.
I understand we're discussing both namespaces and location of the project.
Current project name: LocalGov Events Current location: https://github.com/localgovdrupal/localgov_events Current content type name: localgov_event
Just exploring the options, but I guess it would be good to have the project on Drupal.org from the start, whatever we name it, as we're planning to try to move all projects to drupal.org soon.
Option | Project name | Location | Content type name |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Finder events | drupal.org/finder_events | finder_event |
2 | Localgov events | drupal.org/localgov_events | localgov_event |
3 | Events finder | drupal.org/events_finder | event_finder |
Thanks Finn. Gov.uk colleagues used to call things [something] finder so events finder, schools finder etc
Not sure if it applied to naming, but a nice convention to consider
If the machine name is finders_, the events machine name should be finders_events. The module name can be "Events finder"
We agreed that the best place for Events is on Drupal.org
@ekes suggested that Events should be a separate project, the room agreed
In LGD or Drupal? Let's discuss
