positive and negative ticks #47

The problem with the current implementation is that it is not possible to know whether you have previously ticked a box or not. What I mean is that there needs to be a way to distinguish whether a box has "not yet been evaluated" or if it has been evaluated as "not completed/achieved".

Ideally you could have boxes with 3 states, unknown, true, or false. Maybe making this a global option would be good (either 2 or 3 states per box)?

I understand the issue and I had similiar thoughts. However, that would make Tickmate a 2-bit journal ;-) I would consider it as a local option, like the "multiple ticks per day" track option. What do you say?

Sure, it makes sense as a local option.

If it is going to be a 2-bit journal, I might suggest having the following states: [not-yet-set, false, true, unknown]. This way you can even indicate uncertainty (and distinguish that from the state not having been set at all).

what about:

click for +1 hold for 2 sec. for -1

so you can have all numbers, including negative and can revert accidently selected entries.

or a text box with + and - button.
