Mike has a workaround so low priority. If time available @DP-B21 will investigate further

hi @GregBlow I have tested this both and wednesday and today and it seems that the errors i initially had on wednesday are not present and deploying a vm with an instance and volume from a snapshot is possible. this was tested using the qserv-czar-v3 flavor
