Option to Hide Filer Button #602

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
In an effort to use Chrome extensions to hide all the buttons in Google Reader,
I'm wondering if it would be possible to have an option to hide the Filter
button too?

Thanks very much.

Of course, but which filter button do you talk about ?
Is it about ReaderPlus 'filter' option button ? or another native button ?

for first one, just activate relook and add this (even if I don't understand
interest):

#filter-split-button{display:none;}

Perfect, thanks again! (the first Filter button was the one I was talking
about)

After activating Relook with the CSS stylesheet Filter button toggle you
suggested, there is a fairly significant problem: the Next / Previous Item
buttons on the Google Reader toolbar, and the j / k shortcuts for Next /
Previous Items, essentially do not function any more. If I'm lucky, I can
use them to navigate to one or maybe two new items, then they completely
stop working and I can't navigate through items in Google Reader.

Scratch that, this issue with faulty next / previous items is triggered by
something else in the Reader Plus extension. I haven't isolated what's
causing it yet, but if I do I'll let you know.

I've tried lots of different permutations of enabling / disabling many
different features in Reader Plus, and none of it has solved the next /
previous item issue. The only way to solve the issue is to disable the
extension altogether. Please let me know if you have any thoughts (because
I really can't live without the ability to scroll through items using
either the next / previous item buttons, or the next / previous item
keyboard shortcuts). Thank you.

Probably same as #523.
Filtered items are hidden to GoogleReader, so navigation workflow is broken...
