Openbsd: Make icon solid #97

Closed Finii closed 1 year ago

Finii commented 1 year ago

[why] The icon consists only of very thin strokes and at smaller sizes it is hard to see/recognize at all.

[how] Make the icon solid by just removing one sub-path.

[note] People might complain because it is much darker now. Otoh the previous icon is really like zero contrast and can only be used in huge sizes.

With 24px:

Not sure if OpenBSD users want this change.

An alternative is having an inverse version and let user to choose what glyph use.

having an inverse version

This is not an inverse version. The inverse version of the original svg would still be just a - in that case - black blob with very faint lines in it.

This is solid versus open.

I am quite opposed to two versions. We do not need to pull this, I just think the open icon is unusable for small contexts. There is some icon but you can not really identify it without knowing what it is. That is - for me - not the purpose of these icons.

Withdrawing. We can always reopen the PR if need be (but I doubt anybody will ever ask).
