Hacktoberfest Spooks

Welcome to the Hacktoberfest 2021 repo Hacktoberfest Spooks!

This is a spooky web project for those wanting to contribute to Hacktoberfest. The repo is aimed at helping beginners and first-timers submit pull requests and introducing them to the world of open source.

Please read on for contributing rules and instructions on making a pull request.

Rules for contributing:

• No spam PRs
• All PRs must have a comment explaining the change
• PRs can be fixes, improvements or additions to the Halloween aesthetic

How to make and submit a pull request:

1. Click 'Fork' on the top right of the repo
2. Once the repo is forked, you'll be directed to your personal forked repository
3. Click the dropdown 'Code' and copy the HTTPS url for your repo
4. In your terminal run git clone [your repo url goes here]
5. cd into the local repository directory
6. Run git checkout -b [name of your branch goes here]
7. Make your edits and save
8. Back in your terminal run git status to check your changes have been made
9. Run git add [filename goes here]
10. Run git commit -m 'Your commit message goes here'
11. Run git push origin [your branch name goes here]
12. Go to your forked Github repo and click create pull request
13. Sit back and wait for your PR to be merged

How to raise an issue:

If you find a bug with the website and wish to work on a solution, you'll need to raise an issue.

Simply click on 'Issues' along the top toolbar. To submit a new issue click 'New issue' on the right and provide some information about the issue you'd like to work on.
