Geekom A-5 Debian 12 problem #342

Geekom A-5 Realtek 8852BE wifi works out of the box with Windows 11, but with Debian 12/Xfce Linux d-A5 6.7.12+bpo-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.7.12-1~bpo12+1 (2024-05-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux

after following all your instructions in Readme.md, wifi still does not connect.

i have tried every solution Google can find, including https://www.cnx-software.com/2023/12/01/geekom-a5-review-ubuntu-22-04-amd-ryzen-7-5800h-mini-pc/ and am exhausted, partly because i don't know what i'm doing so just follow instructions blindly and cannot understand why dmesg first says it can't find firmware and then says it has loaded it, but wifi links don't show up in the Xfce panel (except when i plug in an old usb dongle) so i need an idiot's guide, please

maybe was the kernel - it works with 6.12.0.21 the great thing about talking to yourself is at least the other person listens
