Crashes on startup iPhone 4 4.1 #216

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to run the application
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Crashes each time you start

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version on Cydia with iPhone 4 Latest OS 4.1 (8B117) AT7T

Please provide any additional information below.
Installed the Greenpois0n jailbreak and installed Cydia
I then installed MobileTerminal

It crashes each time I attempt to run it. Not sure how else to describe the
error. Pretty straight forward the app won't run. I have re-booted the phone,
made sure no other programs are running, etc.

I have used this application in the pass on an iPhone 3G with great success.

i'm experiencing the same crash with MobileTerminal 364.1-10 on iOS4.1. it
looks like the app is trying to use some symbol that no longer exists.

  Dyld Error Message:
    Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_UITile
    Referenced from: /Applications/Terminal.app/Terminal
    Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/UIKit
    Dyld Version: 154.6

attached is the full crash report.

Well, you got to remove the MobileTerminal you have currently
Copy the .zip to /var/stash/Applications/
Open iFile (install with Cydia first) and unzip, then respring

v426 does indeed work.

Thanks for the info. The issue is the version on Cydia, which they recommend,
does not work on the iPhone. I was not aware of the more current version and
found a way to get it via a different repository.

Thanks

why not use 472?

Original comment by anders.e...@gmail.com on 17 Oct 2010 at 1:58

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Simple: Because I have not tested 472 yet

Additionally, it appears there are some font-related bugs in this revision
which don't occur on r426

Works on an iPhone 4 from iOS 4.1 after using the green pois0n jailbreak. I
followed the following related comment from issue 172, except i used iPhone
Browser to copy the file.

Comment 32 by Jjaso...@yahoo.com, Aug 01, 2010
Worked on iphone4 8gb 4.0.1

Downloaded http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BOLJJMFG
Used iPhoneBrowser to copy .deb to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
Rebooted & resprung, but had to reboot again for the icon to show.

Seems to work, though the only gestures I can perform are copy/paste.

Don't forget to change your root passwds!
