IRS Flight Testing #1

Using GitHub files (mirrored) in Feb 18, 23'.

  1. On Ground (IRS Aligned)

After IRS are aligned, while taxing, if turn it OFF and select ALIGN the motion message appears. But if I select ATT it starts to align regardless of the movement. (I could see the countdown inside the ND). After it get aligned it recovers its full NAV Capability. If I change the required alignment time inside the CDU>Aircraft Settings for 0, it aligns immediately after selecting the NAV position. It kind of ignores that airplane is moving and align the IRS. If select all IRS to ATT the only difference I saw was that the Yaw Damper was actually off, what makes sense since it relies on IRS information to function.

  1. In flight (IRS Aligned)

NAV to ATT Mode - No diference, only YD gets off. NAV to OFF - AP remains ON and Working. Heading, Altitude all normal. NAV to ALIGN - Message ALIGN in the ND (Did not had Alignment time info), as soon as I selected NAV, Motion message appeared, after selecting ATT motion message keeps in. No ATT/HDG information available.

If changing to 0 Min in the Settings, after selecting ATT or NAV the IRS get up and running even during turns.

Any setting different from 0 prompts the MOTION message. (NAV or ATT).
