madiele / vod2pod-rss

Vod2Pod-RSS converts a YouTube or Twitch channel into a podcast with ease. It creates a podcast RSS that can be listened to directly inside any podcast client. VODs are transcoded to MP3 on the fly and no server storage is needed!

YouTube Music Does Not Update Feeds / Episodes #210

When adding links to YouTube Music, it loads episodes fine, and they also play fine. The problem is that those feeds don't load new episodes from that point forward.

This kind of behavior looks like it does not happen with other podcast clients (Antennapod, Podcast Republic, etc)

I did not know youtube music supported rss, is your server public or only available inside your lan?

For quite a while YouTube Music allows to add podcasts via RSS. My server can be accessed outside my home. Other podcast clients can fetch all the episodes.

Can you share some rss feed that do work? It's probably an issue with youtube music being picky about something in the feed or in how to fetch the feed. (I would try with a youtube channel that has an official podcast feed and compare those)

If you can, also check yourself if you see something weird comparing them, like some fields missing from the vod2pod one.

Another issue could be that something about your server does not work well with youtube, to troubleshoot that I've added a podcast to my yt music to see if I can replicate the issue
