pausing the print #81

I have an MKS Sbase 1.3 and 3.2 TFT running smoothiware on my Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus. This printer is printing the best it ever has, with one exception. When I pause the print to change colors, the extruder won't really start up again. It acts like the filament is binding. It pushes a little, clicks, then jumps backwards. It will do this even with the extruder lever held open with a little clip I made. It is not touching anything and it is mimicking a jammed nozzle. I can force the filament through by hand no problem. It is not jammed. When I try the filament change option, pull out, push back in, when I hit resume the extruder spins wildly backwards for about 200-300 mm's or so. Then it will start the jammed nozzle mimicking thing. So pause and change both don't work for me. I have scoured my config files and everything looks good (to me). And here is the weirdest part: The next print start up will be fine. I don't cycle power to the printer, it just starts working again with the next print job. Anyone else experiencing this? Or have any ideas on what I should look for? TIA - Old Steve
