[BUG] Bolt Download dialog opens instead of performing the upload #4

🐛 Bug Description

After reporting my previous issue, I just disabled the extension and reanabled it. Then I refreshed the bolt page. When the app was up and running, I clicked on the Github button. After clicking the 'Upload' button on the Upload confirmation dialog, the bolt download/file save dialog opens, instead of performing the upload. I even removed the extension and loaded it again, but this also didn't resolve the issue.

I didn't find any error messages in any log.

That's weird. The Upload button in the confirmation dialog don't have anything to do with the download dialog. Were you able to replicate this using the CWS version?

engelmatt commented 5 days ago

Yes, I used the most current version. I tried different things during the day in order to find a pattern or workaround but didn't find any. I updated Brave, I uninstalled the extension, deleted all files, cache etc, and closed the browser window. Then reinstalled everything but the issue was still there. Only when creating a new browser profile in Brave it works again - but only once. After that, I need to create a new profile. Btw. when hitting the Github button it opens the confirmation dialog; it is when I hit the Upload button there, then the download button of bolt shows a circulating icon and the download/save file dialog opens. Hope, this helps in any way. We could also do a screen sharing session via AnyDesk for instance.

A small addition: I just created another browser profile but this time even this didn't help. So, there is no pattern for me to see.

@engelmatt I might know what the issue is. I tried to reproduce it on my end but did not get it. I will try using a VPN. You might be getting a different page source than mine.

Would you be willing to join our discord server? That way, we can discuss this further. Thanks for your efforts in trying to make it work on your end. :)
