consider unifying into one plot (use different symbols and linestyles, evtl. omit indexing -seems pretty linear- or put in separate figure) That would improve comparability and show e.g. crossing points more easily.

If not, at least label also the right x-axis although it's quite obvious.

I feel that combining the graphs might make it harder to interpret, as it would require the reader to simultaneously interpret colour and symbology to determine whether a line relates firstly to DGGS or vector/raster (currently: left/right; potentially: symbology), and secondly which stage of the process (colour).

It would be faster to determine crossing points, yes. I have made no change as I suspect the benefits and the disbenefits of change are about even, and other reviewers have not requested this change.
