Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

This is not a problem but more of a "Would be nice".

The ability to tag more than one text element to an attribute (i.e. other
than just a title, for my needs, I also need to record a unique drawing
number on our layouts.

Hi Simon, this is good idea. So good in fact, it is already implemented :) You
are
not the first to be unaware of it though so this points to a needed to expose or
document the feature better. Anyway:

0. Add and populate the attribute you want to change from map to map to the
Index
Layer feature class
1. Add a text element to the map using the text tool from the Drawing toolbar
2. Select the text element
3. Right click 'Map Series' in the table of contents and choose 'Tag with Index
Layer
Field'
