Error messages appear upon close of ArcMap session #52

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open ArcMap with Mapbook installed.
2. Close ArcMap.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Two error messages pop up: Run-time error '91': Object variable or With
block variable not set. Close that and then an unknown software exception
error occurs. Every now and again this generates a severe enough error to
instigate the ESRI error reporting box.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest Mapbook for 9.3--current as of March 2009. Running on Windows XP
64bit, all updates current, Office 2003, ArcGIS 9.3 SP1.

Please provide any additional information below.
The issue with the Mapbook tab not installing does not apply to this issue.
The tab installs and it is not necessary to run the Categories.exe.
However, the two additional registry keys that the regedit4 are supposed to
take care of seem to not be there, after I run _install.bat and check my
registry. The error remains even if I add them manually.

Normally importing "register_component_category.reg" (which is handled by
_install.bat)creates all of the registry keys and there shouldn't be any hand
editing
necessary.

Please export the registry keys (and any others you feel may
be relevant) to a file and send them to me. We can compare with my
working 64bit XP system and see if I can determine the essential
difference. Here is a batch file to export the ones that should be
there: http://code.google.com/p/arcmapbook/source/browse/trunk/tools
along with the output of frrom my machine.

Good morning Matt,
So...good news. And a little embarrassing. We had installed this free
extension for
some work we're doing called Flood Map Desktop. And apparently, there is some
conflict of interest between that and Mapbook. I uninstall Flood Map Desktop
and
pouf, no more error from Mapbook. Hooray! Mapbook is smart and clean and plays
nicely with others.

In any case, thanks so much for your help. I'm excited about the Definition
Query
and adjacent tile labeling options; perhaps I'll get around to looking into
that.
cheers, s.

I'm glad you've resolved the issue, and now the bug database has a record of a
known
interaction error with another addon. Maybe the next person who run's into it
will
get to the end of the road a little quicker. :P
