Hi,

first question. Is this plugin still actively developed?

second question: Any plans on supporting HmIP-SCTH230 CO2-sensor?

The plugin is in maintenance mode, I guess. Actually I'm waiting for eQ-3 to announce something about Matter support, but I guess it's the same as with HomeKit support - crickets and tumbleweed.

I will have a look at the device next week.

Hi Marc, thank you for your update and response. Also thanks for investing your time to look at the device next week. Personally I don't think eQ3 will do this anytime soon. I had some hope when Mediola presented their first OEM bridge for matter support.

I talked to Homematic support and they told me that they are talking to Mediola about it. But honestly I don't think it will happen. I've waited so many years for Philips Hue support and I'm still waiting for many more features. But every time I get the same standard answers. Well, we shall see. I like the stability of the system, the direct connection between the devices and the quality of the devices. But the software side is the weak point. That is why your plugin is indispensable for me :-)

leider heute mal wieder bestätigt worden; das eq3 sein Potenzial einfach nicht nutzen möchte.

Matter kommt, aber anders als gedacht.

Nun habe ich gestern von der mediola Matter Bridge gelesen und sie auch gleich bestellt, weil ich die Funktionsweise falsch verstanden habe. Zuerst dachte ich, dass es sich nur um eine Erweiterung des AccessPoints handelt und man den AccessPount mit all seiner vorgedachten Intelligenz weiter nutzen kann. Ich bin fälschlicherweise davon ausgegangen, dass die Anbindung der Matter Bridge über die Zusatzdienste des AccessPoints erfolgt. Dort taucht ja auch der Punkt "Mediola" auf. Dies ist leider nicht der Fall. Man muss auf den AccessPoint verzichten und die Komponenten einzeln an die Matter Bridge anbinden. Das hat mich sehr enttäuscht und ist für mich keine Option, da ich die Intelligenz der Geräte mit den Zeitplänen weiter nutzen möchte. Außerdem bedeutet das wohl, dass man auch auf Firmware-Updates der Komponenten verzichten muss. Das ist für mich keine Lösung, umso mehr verstehe ich nicht, warum man diesen Weg der Matter Implementierung gewählt hat.

Daher bleibt das Homebridge Plugin der richtige Lösungsansatz.

Gibt es bezogen auf das Gerät etwas Neues?
