New Divx v10 videos do not play (sound only). #701

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Playing divx mkv files on some web sites through Firefox or via download to
hard drive gives blank video with sound. Sites that do not work:
http://www.animeFTW.tv (registation required)
http://www.divx.com/en/hevc-showcase

Interestingly, divx encoded mkv trailers play fine from here:
http://www.sintel.org/download

This is reprodicible when using Mplayer as well.

(BTW, thanks for gnome-mplayer.)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Video should play, but get audio only.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v. 1.08 of both gnome-player, gecko-mediaplayer
MPlayer 1.1-4.7.1
Firefox

Please provide any additional information below.
Its been awhile since I had the need/urge to view Divx encoded video. Could
this issue be due to Divx updating to v. 10 and and a new HEVC codec as a
replacement for H.264?

If it is reproducible in MPlayer, then it is most likely an MPlayer bug.

yep - not so much bug as new codec support. I suppose I should have dug around
a bit more: DiVX 10 HEVC looks to be essentially h.265 for which early code is
startig to appear in ffmpeg and libav git. Silly me.
