[x] Fixed various typos and awkward phrasings. Grammar recommendations on the paper copy that I did not implement was because I did not agree with them or they were not necessary - I didn't intentionally leave any unresolved except as enumerated below

[ ] Notebook 07 is referenced a lot in Sec. 2.3 but we haven't even introduced the notebooks yet. Maybe something referring to the discussion of the notebooks in a future section is needed.
