Hello, Wanted to run the latest and greatest nwipe so I downloaded Ubuntu 17.10 desktop and installed on an ssd. I ran the commands:

sudo add-apt-repository universe sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install nwipe

Rebooted. Have 8 WD 3TB red hard drives hooked up. Open Terminal and type sudo nwipe and system freezes up. Have to force pc down with power button.

This happening to anyone else? Tried a few times.

Thank you, Franco

So I disconnected 4 hard drives. So only 4 drives are connected and it is running. FM

Please provide more information : Does nwipe start at all? Are you using 32 of 64 bit version? Which version are you using? Does Nwipe see all 8 disks? Which provide method and options used?

Tested with 8 disks and version 0.23(64bit) and it seems to work.
