Look into adding a desktop mode #30

Issue description

A possible expansion path for this project could be the adding of a desktop mode, i.e. to add the optional capability of deploying the vagrant vm with a Desktop environment automatically configured and usable.

Development task

[ ] Investigate how it can be done
[ ] document the steps that would need to be made
[ ] implement the needed steps
[ ] test it
