Hi team,

Have hit a snag with the generated export file. Size looks about right, but it won't expand. Am on Mac and Have tried with Stuffit too.

Tried deleting the plugin and re-installing from both the download version, and via WP interface. Issue prevails.

Site is Running WP Version 5.4.2 - unable to rollback. Don't know PHP version sorry, not my server.

I too have this issue. Just tried downloading my media library. I tried single folder with all files and nested options, and both compress and not compressed. Each results in a zip file on my machine which WinZip says is invalid. (Windows 10 PC

Export Media Library plugin version 3.0.1 PHP 7.3.12 Wordpress 5.5.3 WinZip 15.5 Pro.

@pquirk2017 Can you try using 7-zip by any chance? https://www.7-zip.org If that doesn't work, and you are comfortable with sharing the zip file with me, you can send me a link to download it somewhere. I really would like to get to the bottom of the issue.

@andrejpavlovic using 7-zip did not work. I'm sad as this was one of my favorite plugins when I was doing a migration. Any chance it can be updated for modern wordpress/PHP?

@andrejpavlovic Thanks for getting back to me but I’ve long since deleted the zip file and the website has gone. The reason I was doing the download was to archive the material. I found another way of doing the job. FYI my copy of Winzip was an actual paid for one from Winzip themselves, V14 I think, so not the latest version.

I am having the same exact problem on Mac OSX. Really frustrating. I need to access those file and remove them from WP

Was also having this problem on Mac OS.

Solved it by installing 7-Zip and using 7z x <file> to extract. Be nice if the compressed file was .7z instead of .zip to make this clear.

Still the same issue. Only 7-zip can open the archive. And then, there are still errors with single files. And a feature request: It would be nice if the plugin would allow to choose certain folders and/or media types.

If someone could share an exported zip that cannot be opened, that would help with figuring out what is causing the issue.
