To Reproduce

Updated the material icon theme afterwards it's not working.

Expected behavior

icons should show up

I have the same problem.. But some icon is shown when open and some is shown when closed.

Example:

On the image can you see assets is shown when open, but not when it is closed.

Data icon is shown when closed, hidden when open Chat icon is shown when closed, hidden when open Src icon is shown when open, hidden when closed Service icon is shown when closed, hidden when open and so on, it is different, but the pattern is, if it is shown on closed, it is hidden when open and vice vers

I fixed the issue by deleting the folder ~/.vscode/extensions/pkief.material-icon-theme-5.18.0 and reinstalling the extension.
