This will become the next version of the Geppetto application and player.

Geppetto will stop being an electron app, and become a fully useable web-application

• No download necessary, you can directly use it in the browser
• Electron required all kinds of code signing, which is costly
• The web-application wil be useable offline
• The web-application can still be installed as local app
• You will always be using the latest version
• You can use files from your disk, and store them as usual (we are using the FileSystem API, so no uploading/downloading. In fact, there is no server!)
• The new application will use a new file format, older files will be automatically migrated when loaded
• New features will be:
  • Planned: Adding more metadata to images, making it more easily for players to load and start them
  • Planned: Able to add transition effects (easing functions) to your animations
