App not available in Appstore #78

I am currently in Italy and can't download the app from the Appstore anymore. It says "App not available in your country or region".

Maybe it's the same problem like #65.

Same for me in Germany

Hello, thanks for the information. PayForMe was published to the AppStore by my former employer, Mayflower. Also the initial part of development was done on company time. I don't do mobile app development anymore and am currently not using PayForMe myself, nor do I have plans to re-publish it in a personal developer accounts. I am going to reach out to Mayflower if there is someone there who wants to fix this issue, but as other issues accumulate while I don't really have time to work on this app, I cannot promise that PayForMe will be available again.

Oh that would be unfortunate! I really enjoyed using your app and I think there is no FOSS alternative at the moment. But I understand the situation and hope someone from Mayflower (or someone else) will take over! :crossed_fingers:

I might be interested in taking ownership. Haven't looked into the codebase yet, but I've been using this app for two years now and some things have always bugged me. Whoever responsible is welcome to contact me. I have an active developer license and experience with Swift and especially SwiftUI.

@InteractionEngineer that would be great. I really loved using the app and was very surprised to see I could not install it on my new phone… what’s your plan, are you simply going to create a fork?

InteractionEngineer commented 1 day ago

@ghost91- No, I would like to talk to the previous owner first to get a better picture of the effort involved and the structure he/she has created to keep this project running for years. If that works out, I want to be a responsible maintainer: It would be the first open source project that I would take on and I will only do that with a proper handover.

Hello, I am interested in also contributing to the evolution of the application without necessarily taking leadership. If an exchange is planned, to present the architecture of the application one to one, I would like to be there. I looked at the code and it seems maintainable and scalable.
