Schedule List not sorted by date #10

Details

The idea of having a schedule is to see what events you have coming up next so you can prepare for them, however the schedule list is not sorted in order which defeats the purpose of having it since it is not sorted and I don't know what events / schedules I have for today.

Team's Response

We can consider adding this as a feature in the future, however, currently the schedule feature is simply to note down appointments for reference and not as a reminder. The reminder function is an interesting feature that we can consider in the future though, hence, we have decided to add this issue as NotInScope.

 Issue response

Team chose [response.NotInScope]

Reason for disagreement: I would like to challenge the decision to label the schedule sorting issue as "NotInScope." The user stories in the Developer Guide implies that the schedule feature is not "simply to note down appointments for reference" but intended to Keep track of all appointments and ensure there are no scheduling conflicts. An unsorted list of appointments can lead to poor time management and missed engagements, which is contrary to the purpose of the application as an aid for social workers, who depend on a well-organised schedule to navigate their day-to-day tasks effectively. Additionally, a schedule inherently implies some level of organisation, typically chronological, which is a basic expectation for any scheduling tool out there in the market right now. It is a mischaracterisation to equate a scheduler with an unsorted list. Hence, I believe the absence of sorting fundamentally undermines the utility of the feature and this issue should be considered within the current scope of the product's features and addressed to meet the practical needs of the user base.
