@Benmuiruri Can I get a review of this please? This is a utility we made ages ago and I want to use it to lint the translation files for cht-core (issue) and want this additional feature to pull this off. Once this is merged I'll release a new minor version of this package and make the core changes.

@Benmuiruri Oh I should add... I really don't like the code here, but refactoring was going to be a fairly big job, and it's not a widely used/updated library, so I resisted the urge. Let me know if I should do more...
