Tried the launch option in the readme but it was simply no help. Also like the other issue someone posted the linux version isn't functional so I used the windows one through proton.

Cursed as hell "solution" but to fix it I overwrote the files of the original half life 2 with the half life 2 update ones.

Worked like a charm lmfao

Found that issue aswell, launch option didn't work either. Has to be expected since Steam Input is not officially supported. If I remember correctly Gamepad UI used to work with both legacy XInput and Steam Input. For now that workaround should work.
