2 weeks ago Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have confirmed this issue and will investigate further. The intended behavior is to notify the user of this situation and exit without rebooting, rather than entering an endless restart loop. We will work on a fix for next version. 👍
Dear MEGAsync Team :) Thanks for the great work! One thing: I tend to put Applications into my Home-Folder inside an "Applications"-Folder I create there. MEGAsync.app does complain about that and wants to be installed in /Applications. After pressing "OK" it restarts itself from /Users/{name}/Applications and complains again - Infinite loop (well, that's where the apple headquarters are, so it's probably okay?).
This can be remedied by moving MEGAsync.app out of the /Users/{name}/Applications folder so this is only an annoyance but might be a problem for the not so brave ("Let's re/move the Application that is currently running and complaining") user 😅
Good thing: I am using APFS Case-Sensitive and MEGAsync.app works like a charm - in contrast to Adobe 😆
Might be enough to change the text "Move it into the Applications folder then press OK" or even give the user buttons like "Move MEGAsync to Applications folder" and "Cancel" to choose from.
