Charles "Chuck" Hoffman (centipedefarmer)

centipedefarmer@gmail.com

Times that DON'T work: this Wednesday evening, this Friday, next Tuesday evening. And next Friday might be out too, as well as the weekend following. Anything else should be fine.

What to work on: code reviewing the PuzzleNode problems I sent, I guess. Unless you mean for me to declare what I have in mind for an RMU project. Let me know.

Hi Charles. What timezone are you in? Also, the idea with these mentoring sessions ahead of the course is to discuss your admission submission to point out any weakness, style issues, etc. so that you can head full speed into the course in January.

hoff2 commented 12 years ago

Sounds good. I'm Central time.

Hi Chuck, how about next Tuesday Dec 20 at 3:30pm your time? Other times are possible for me too if that doesn't work. Eric

hoff2 commented 12 years ago

excellent.

hoff2 commented 12 years ago

Not sure. I've got a rather nasty cold, likely to be sticking around home. :/

OK, we'll meet in the #rmu-study-hall-1 channel on freenode. I have your puzzlenode code, but feel free to publicize it if you want.

Hi Chuck, happy new year! Just realized I forgot to close this out. Hope you got something out of our session, I apologize again for being a bit distracted. Good luck with the course, and let me know if you want to meet again. Here's the transcript. Actually for the Forth puzzle, you might want to compare notes with Arun (satchmorun), who also worked on it and is in the course with you.

Oh definitely, you had some good suggestions that got me thinking of ways I could improve the code (but haven't yet, haha). Was kinda hoping we could do another but I'm not crying about not doing it either. We were both pretty distracted, I think that accounts for the session being long and slow-moving but I still think we covered some good ground. Thank you!
