as i will probably use lassie and need to extend it to my needs in the foreseeable future, i invested some time in extending the test suite. though you didn't ask for it, i hope you find it useful. next thing woud be to shift from nosetests to pytest as the first is unmaintained and the latter the power horse in the stable.

parameters as line length are proposals.
