one user could need to set an higher value for concurrent_compactors e.g "data directories are backed by SSD" as stated in the documentation

I don't really this why this value is systematically removed

It is deleted for Cassandra 2.1.0+. Is it supported in those versions?

@michaelklishin it is indeed deleted for Cassandra 2.1.0+ but still supported. The default value is just more clever since 2.1
