Since I didn't hear anything back I have started to make some workarounds for the difficulties I encountered as described above.
With the app CX file Explorer it is possible to enter the family gem map in Android > data > familygem. My new Android phone didn't let me enter with their generic File Explorer app. Here I could see the map with all saved images. I found out that ONLY images that are cropped are saved in this map. To make sure you have all your images in this map, just crop a little of the original image. This is particular handy when you want to throw away images from another map when you have uploaded them in your Tree or when you want to transfer all media from your tree to another device.
The images that are not cropped will stay in any other map you downloaded them from, and are thus not transported into a zip-file.
Also here I found out that to transfer the tree is best to export the Gedcom only. Sometimes there is a bug in exporting the gedcom file when exported as a zip with media. To transfer your Tree just import only the gedcom file and drop the media from the file Android > data > familygem in the same file on the other device (you can so this through Bluetooth or another transfer app. Ofcourse you can save a zip "Gedcom with Media", but there is often a bug and the Family Gem app rejects the gedcom-file. Also be aware that the option "Save zip backup" doesn't save the gedcom-file!
Then my last workaround to get an edited text in "value". First I open a new note in the section you want to save it in. Write or paste the text you want & edit it the way you want it to look. Then copy and paste it in the "value" section. It is a bit more work, but it looks better and is also searchable (the "new note" isn't searchable).
May these workarounds also be benecial for others. 😊

Much gratitude for your wonderful application. It is a joy to work with it.
Since the update there are great changes, such as the premium part. Happily I got it right away, as I feel it is also to back you up for your hard work.
Also I noticed other changes that are a bit more inconvenient. It is not possible anymore to change in the middle of a text within "value". This such ashame especially when modifying a long text. Now one has to scroll from the end of a sentence to the part that needs modifying. Which is hard because the whole text isn't visible. In a "text" the easy way of modification is still possible. Also a hard return in "value" is gone (this might it be related to the more difficult way of modification?). Due to this it is also not possible anymore to start a new sentence. Now if I push "enter" the text will be saved, with no way to start on a new alinea. Would it possible to change the setting back for the "value" as it was before?
Also I found out that a copy isn't saved on my mobile. I checked it because with importing the gedcom file from my old to my new phone lots of the media (images) weren't saved and appear empty now (while other where saved and showed on my new phone). Unfortunately I can't check the map on a Samsung A14, /Android/data/app.familygem/files. It said that only on a computer that would be possible, which I haven't. Then I tried to find out if the app would be saved on my Drive or Google One after pushing Backup Now. It didn't show me the Family Gem app being saved (among others). Might this option been removed after the update?
Anyway I have much appreciation that with the new update the app shows what is the mistake is when when checking on any errors.
Utmost respect for making such a well working, expansive app with no distractions such as ads.
