Steps to reproduce

Perform auto update from General page.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Launch powertoyssetup-0.82.1-x64.exe from LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\PowerToys\Updates and begin installation process.

❌ Actual Behavior

Nothing happened. After manually running PowerToys, its version is still 0.80.1, mentioning that An error occurred trying to install this update. I've checked UpdateLogs, but it has only two lines without any helpful information: [2024-08-04 11:41:47.905856] [p-17688] [t-15068] [info] update logger is initialized [2024-08-04 11:41:50.472172] [p-3480] [t-10040] [info] update logger is initialized

Hi @huaium

Seems that PowerToys 0.80.1 installed on your computer is the user installer but powertoyssetup-0.82.1-x64.exe you are trying to use for the update is the machine installer. Where does powertoyssetup-0.82.1-x64.exe come from? Have you manually downloaded it? If yes, you should grab the user one: PowerToysUserSetup-0.83.0-x64.exe (we are now on 0.83.0 😉).

The machine installer is from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\PowerToys\Updates, downloaded automatically by PowerToys for updating, which is probably a wrong behavior.
