@johot Thanks for bringing this up. We're in the process of renaming the published app + repo and clarifying in the README the difference between the WinUI library, XAML controls app, and this project. Updates are coming soon!
Updates to repo README, name, and published app name are complete. Thanks again for this feedback! The README now contains more detailed information on the differences between the three projects, but for convenience I'll also just briefly answer here. The main difference is that the WinUI NuGet library and XAML Controls Gallery focus more heavily on XAML-based concepts and controls, whereas this repo & associated app focus primarily on innovating and experimenting using Windows.UI.Composition APIs in conjunction with XAML to create uniquely beautiful and engaging experiences.
I'm going to go ahead and close this Issue for now since the doc updates and renames are completed, but feel free to let us know if you think the docs are still unclear.

I'm guessing this is not the same thing as the Windows UI Library? The naming is currently very confusing since the new Windows UI Library has a store app called XAML Controls but this repo has a Store app called Windows UI. Also the name of the repo sounds very similar to Windows UI Library. Could it be made more clear in the Readme.md file how this repo related to the new aka.ms/winui library?
Thanks!
