The viewer interprets reportingDescriptor.{short,full}Description.text as Markdown instead of plain text.

Given that it is not rendering plain text for these properties, once this is fixed we need to

Ensure that #185 ("Render links in plain text messages") is actually fixed.
Ensure that #186 ("Render line breaks in plain text messages") is actually fixed.
