unable to create environment in python #20319

Type: Bug

  1. Call command Palette
  2. choose "create environment"
  3. error message: "Command 'create Environment' resulted in an error (command 'python.envManager.create' not found'"

Using Conda. I can create my envs by command line with no issue.

@verajosemanuel is this still happening for you? Usually this happens due to a botched install of the extension or having not opened a Python file to activate the extension.

Still the same issue.

@verajosemanuel can you get us the info that gets generated when you follow https://aka.ms/pvsc-bug ? I assume you trusted the workspace and opened a Python file before trying to run the command?

@verajosemanuel The command being used python.envManager.create is not provided by the Python extension but Python Environment Manager. Please try using the Python: Create Environment command instead of please report this to the other extension, closing this.
