Open Editors in Explorer is not updating list of editors

Open a few files in editor. Expand open editors section in explorer. Use the close-all button. The editors are closed, but the section still shows all of them as open. Clicking on them does not re-open the editor and the X (close) near each item does nothing.

Are you / did you use working sets from git / scm?

I'm seeing similar behaviour tied to scm.workingSets.enabled.

In a freshly reloaded Codespaces window with no extensions, everything works fine. After switching branches, the list of open editors stops updating when opening/closing editors. Interestingly it still updates when switching branches.
