Describe your suggested feature

I know its not a feature as it would be very complex due to the extensions system and different. But what i sugggest is not adding a manga entry automatically but rather a client for the tracker, to just show the entry scraped from the tracker and if the user clicks on it, it opens the search with the name already searched(like we do when migrating) and we can add an entry by clicking on it, the newly added entry is already updated with the chapters and tracking info from the tracker.

A similiar thing is available in the app Dantotsu, which is basically a client for trackers but also has extension sources and when you open an entry from the tracker and go to the read tab, it shows a drop down menu asking in which source to open.

I think it same to what I asked. Like if they indeed accept this. We wont need the backup and restore feature, right? (For users with anilist)

not meant to replace the backup feature as it is useful for those without the tracking and it also transfers settings, enteries from each extension, tracking info of enteries,etc

and while we're transfering that might as well transfer chapters and history

This is meant only to be an easy way to access all the enteries on ones trackers, rather than adding each manually by searching, we're adding each we want to read manually.

Though this servers as a very good to transfer data from one manga reader to the other, if other manga readers also adopt this.
