Hm, I cannot reproduce that.
Fedora 34 and Gnome Xorg, I guess? (It cannot be wayland because I see colour in the preëdit, that wouldn’t work on Wayland).
Does it matter whether you type that in the first line as the first word or at a later position in gedit?
Thanks, Mike. No, it does not matter if the word is the first of the line. With the word discrepância followed but comma, the reported problem always occurs.
I have tried with different accented words, but the problem not always shows up. The word não followed by comma suffers from the same problem.
OK, I can reproduce it now.
And I think I found the reason for the problem and could solve it.
Great, Mike! Thanks!
2.14.7 build which should fix the problem:

Thanks, Mike. It appears that it is now working fine, but, during the next few days, I will be vigilant checking whether the problem is really fixed.
Your testing is really great! Your bug reports are excellent!
Thanks, Mike! For years, I was looking for a tool as ibus-typing-booster, but only recently I discovered ibus-typing-booster. Your ibus-typing-booster saves for me about half of my typing time, which is great! My testing and my reports are a sort of paying you back for having created and maintained ibus-typing-booster!
I had already noticed this last bug, but it took me some time to isolate it.
Have a nice weekend!
Hi Mike,
I suspect that only occurs if the ending word is accented. Please, watch the attach video.
Thanks!
