Is CodeCarbon still using the 2016 data files? #435

Hello,

I wanted to check, since last time I did a deep dive in codecarbon's code I noticed that it can't retrieve the carbon intensity it looks if the location is Canada or USA and it uses their data files.

However, I noticed there were new files that have the carbon intensity of most countries like codecarbon/data/private_infra/global_energy_mix.json

Did I read the wrong version of the code? Is this file (and the others that are new) used in the code?

Thank you in advance for your response!

The file used by CodeCarbon is https://github.com/mlco2/codecarbon/blob/master/codecarbon/data/private_infra/global_energy_mix.json We have updated it with 2021 data from Our World In Data.

I'm not sure we still use the 2016 file for Canada's provinces or USA states.

Did you know where we could get updated data for them ?
