Automatic renewal option of caldav events leads to disappearing of events in next year

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set the option of automatic renewal every x minutes for the caldav events.
2. Go to calendar and january 2014. No event is shown. 
3. Click manually on "Renew events".

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is, that all events are shown. However, events of the next 
year are not shown and when I manually click on "Renew events" the events 
appear for about 5 seconds, then they disappear again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest RC and latest plugins.

I have looked in the logs. There is an error in the calendar logs:

User "info@naturbegegnung.de" has saved placeholder %p as password. Shared 
calendaring fails. Install "savepassword" plugin.

It seems to have to do with the cron job for the reminders. I have uploaded 
"savepassword" plugin but it does not make a difference. So I think this is 
another unrelated problem.

If I turn off the automatic renewal, then the events are shown also for the 
next year.
