Took out the hint: (Hint: Check the definition of differentials in the book.) Since they should know the definition of differentials. Also made the linear approximation answer in decimals since it says it is approximately:.... image

No. The Linear approximation is an EXACT value, not a decimal truncation. f(7) is approx L(7), but the value of L(7) is an exact value.
