Hello, I ran into the same error myself.

But I think I have found the error. For me it always worked until I updated to the latest driver.

With the latest Nvidia driver (526.98) there is no longer the option "Shield" with the gamestream option in the settings. When I start Moonlight, I get the same error "Error 4" as you. Unbenannt

Workaround: Go to this page from Nvidia and download an older version of your driver. I have installed the version 526.47. After the installation of the older driver there is also again the option with gamestream. Switch it on again and everything works normally.

I can not say why the option is no longer available in the latest driver, but I hope Nvidia does not remove this option forever.

Hello, I ran into the same error myself. But I have installed the version 526.47 ,even the 512.77 . It was not working . Is that Nvdia remove this option ? Client PC details OS: Windows 11 22H2 GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 12GB image image

No, the option still exists. I'm running 527.56 (released today) and streaming still works fine.

When the Shield tab disappears, it usually means something in GeForce Experience or the driver broke. If a reboot doesn't solve it, I'd suggest a clean install of both.

If that also fails, you can report a bug here: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/ask

Hello, I got it working again. Maybe it will help someone. I tried reinstalling the driver before @cgutman's advice, but it did nothing. Now I tried again and got this error message instead.

The final solution was to reinstall the driver and GeForce Experience four times and restart it a thousand times and finally it worked again. Hopefully the error does not occur again with the next driver update. Thank you @cgutman

I get the same error,When i open NVIDIA Experience ,The SHIELD was appear. But it was said ,Information not available ! image image

Angmar3019 commented 1 year ago

Are you able to get it running again after that? If not, try reinstalling the driver and GeForce Experience again. You can also try to use a DDU (Display Driver Uninstall), like Wagnardsoft DDU, for a clean uninstall.

HimaCSR commented 1 year ago

I have do that ,and I have used the DDU ,then install the 527.56 . But it gose back to the first problem 'the function of SHIELD was disappeard'. image Only the way of install the older version ,then update to the version 527.56 can be making the function of SHIELD to appear. But this way will make a problem that`s 'Information not available!'. Is that because there are regional limiting on SHIELD?
