It shows which track is now playing, but then never submits it.

https://github.com/mopidy/mopidy/pull/674 likely fixes this, so should work in next mopidy release.

mopidy/mopidy#674 has now been merged. It'll be part of Mopidy v0.18.2 and v0.19.

I've confirmed that tracks are now both showed as "now playing" and scrobbled if you listen to at least 30s/50% of the track.

My recently set up mopidy v0.19.5 server has this issue. Only currently playing track shows on Last.fm No history is kept on Last.fm

Then it's probably not the same issue as we had a year ago. Please open a new bug.
