I don't personally care about the issues around the deck, I just care about adding this to decky loader back so I can download it again if I need t?o

@PS2ClassicsVault I believe in the decky settings you can try to add it manually. Using the url or the .zip browser. Not sure which one will work correctly but definitely use the latest version of NSL, lots of cool bugs fixes!

Its a shame the owners at decky are complete assholes right now. Junk store will be paid and closed source while this free one gets nuked for stupid reasons. I cant install it theres no release zip.

Which zip file? This repo doesn't have any releases?

moraroy commented 1 month ago

@Timbo303 @kdliu86 I may have to do a "release" I'll try to do one in a couple days if possible.

Any luck with the zip? Decky doesnt let me install with the URL

PrecedentPowers commented 1 month ago

Anyone manage to install this yet post-delisting?

moraroy commented 1 month ago

@kdliu86 @PrecedentPowers @MrArdillo @Timbo303 @PS2ClassicsVault just put out the first release, im not sure why the url and the zip files are really finicky when it comes to installing, let me know how you guys are able to do it. i think this is the link? https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers/archive/refs/tags/v1.01.zip ..if not the zip folders are in there. Also, based on my testing what i did was use the link above and then once the install "hangs" i just simply restarted the deck and my plugin was there. let me know how you guys do it! i also want to say im sorry about this whole current mess and i hope i can move forward from it. <3

This is perfect. Thank you very much its much easier than going to desktop mode everytime I need a custom website.

@kdliu86 @PrecedentPowers @MrArdillo @Timbo303 @PS2ClassicsVault sorry, wanted to tag you guys one last time , i wasnt satisfied with the zips so i just made you guys a proper updater, just simply double click to run it https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchersDecky/releases/download/v1.0.1/NSLPlugin.desktop

MrArdillo commented 1 month ago

Thanks a lot! It's perfect!

moraroy commented 1 month ago

@MrArdillo did it work correctly? If possible could you test if you can Uninstall the plugin and then try to install it again use the desktop file? I just want to make sure it's working how it should.

MrArdillo commented 1 month ago

I didn't had the plugin at start and with the desktop file it installed the plugin without any problems

moraroy commented 1 month ago

Hey everyone ! So weird thing happened : about a week ago, I did a full reset for the 3.6.19 update, I downloaded the zip you posted and everything worked like a charm thank you for that. Thing is that today I had to reset my Deck again, and when I use the same zip, when I go to Decky (on game mode, the same way I did a week ago), I check EA App, click on install ; the installation windows appears for less than a second ; I have a notification that says that EA App is installed but I can't find it anywhere on my library ; and on Desktop mode I can't even find the compatdata folder where it is supposed to be... Any idea ? Actually, before posting here, I did another full reset of the deck, just in case : same result...

moraroy commented 1 month ago

@TheGeonaute don't use the zip, use the NSLPlugin.desktop

TheGeonaute commented 1 month ago

@TheGeonaute ah OK yeah I think it's the new steam release, I had some bugs as well, still working on them.

TheGeonaute commented 1 month ago
